The new, larger aperture ETX-80AT-TC with built-in Barlow lens is powerful companion for exploring the universe at an incredibly attractive price. For the casual observer interested in viewing the Moon, planets, bright deep-space objects, and terrestrial landmarks, the ETX-80AT-TC maybe the perfect instrument. The #494 Autostar computer system with integrated, factory calibrated time chip, permits the automatic location of over 1400 celestial objects. Just enter the object you wish to observe on to the Autostar display, and press GO TO. This model replaces the ETX-70AT. Besides a larger 80mm aperture objective lens, the ETX-80 mount/ fork-tines appear larger and more substantial. Significantly, this new model includes a clock-chip for keeping precise time and date no need to ever call again for precise time to set Autostar. The scope is also supplied with a new bubble-level/ compass for fast initialization of the telescope as to level and north orientation. The new model includes two Super Plossl eyepieces (SP9.7 and SP26).
